Kjær Architecture was selected as the design and planning consultants for the new, company headquarters, located in north Copenhagen. The international firm will now be housed in a former educational building that has been completely refurbished and transformed into a state-of-the-art office environment. At the heart of the project, is the creation of three large, light-filled atriums, each serving as informal meeting areas where people and ideas can meet and mingle. The original building was decidedly industrial in feel, with a direct and honest approach to materials and construction. Using the existing architecture as a source for inspiration, Kjær worked closely with the client team to develop a comprehensive working environment, reflecting the company’s ethos of innovation, creativity, and collaboration.
