For this project, Kjær Architecture was commissioned to refurbish and transform a simple cottage into a proper country home. Located to the north of Copenhagen, the home is beautifully situated on the property, providing Kjær with the opportunity to accentuate the views to the nearby pond, landscape, and forest beyond. Drawing inspiration from classic Scandinavian country houses, Kjær added a sophisticated sensibility to the home; substantially improving its size and function, while incorporating classic details and elegant finishes.
